Dominic Iorfa is expecting another hard-fought Sky Bet Championship encounter as Wolves entertain Norwich at Molineux this afternoon.
The second-placed Canaries suffered a last-minute defeat at Newcastle United in midweek but have won six of their opening ten games to put them in the automatic promotion places.
And Iorfa expects a tough test from a side with recent Premier League experience. He said: “It will be a tough game. They’ve got a lot of good players who have played in the Premier League and they play good football as well.
“But that’s the same as us, we’ve got good players and we play good football.
“I’m expecting a close, tough game but hopefully a game that we can win."
Wolves have earned good results against the sides above them in the league so far this season but have sometimes struggled for points against the teams below.
When asked why he believes this is the case, Iorfa responded: “I don’t think it’s a case of underestimating teams.
“Over time, against the teams below us, I think we’ll begin to pick up points and it will even itself it out.
“At the moment, I don’t think there’s a reason behind it, it’s just the Championship. Everyone can beat everyone."
Having played the majority of his Wolves first team career at right back, the defender has recently made the change to partner Danny Batth at centre half.
Discussing his defensive switch, Iorfa said: “I wasn’t too happy with my performance on Tuesday but I thought I did well for the three games before that.
“I’m enjoying it. You always enjoy games when you’re playing well so I’ve just got to keep my head down and keep doing well.
“I see my career in the long run at centre back.
“Growing up I was always centre back but I’ve been right back ever since I’ve been involved with the first team.
“I’m happy to play either position at the moment. I’m only 21 and I’m still learning the game.
“Wherever the Head Coach wants me to play, I’m happy to do that."
