Paycare Donate Warm-Up Shirts In Support Of Carl

Wolves players will be warming up in t-shirts donated by back of shirt sponsors Paycare to show support for team-mate Carl Ikeme this afternoon.

The t-shirts are set to be signed by the players and auctioned off at a later date to raise funds for Cure Leukaemia, and are part of a wider donation being made by Paycare to the charity.

Kevin Rogers, CEO of Paycare, said: “It was with great sadness that we learned in early July that the Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme was diagnosed with acute Leukaemia.

“As we are all part of the Wolves family we are devastated to hear this news, so we wanted to offer our support.

“As well as covering the cost of the T-shirts, Paycare has made a donation to Cure Leukaemia to support the initiative being held before the opening game of the season against Middlesbrough, and the specially-designed T-Shirts will then be signed and then auctioned off to raise much-needed funds for the charity.

“Carl has now started an immediate course of chemotherapy as he begins a lengthy battle against the disease.

He has received support from all over the country both from the football world and beyond. On behalf on everyone at Paycare, we would like to offer our heartfelt support and wish him a successful recovery.”
