Keeper keen to impress on loan
Keeper Jon Flatt had joined Vanarama National League promotion-chasers Cheltenham Town on a month’s loan.
The 21-year-old keeper has joined a Robins side currently a point clear at the head of the table as they aim for a return to the Football League.
Flatt enjoyed loan spells with Wrexham and Chesterfield last season, and has been a regular for Wolves’ Under-21s this season, and during his time at Molineux has been on the bench for the first time on several occasions.
“I’m buzzing to get the chance to go out and play some first team football,” said Flatt, who has progressed through the club’s Academy.
“We’d been looking for a loan since Christmas and unfortunately a couple of things fell through in January.
“But I couldn’t have wished for a better opportunity than with a club like Cheltenham who are doing really well at the top of the league.
“It is perfect for me to go and get some games, especially with last week’s news that the club are taking up my year’s option and I know I am going to be here next season.
“That took a weight off my shoulders and now I know I can just concentrate on playing football.
“It is a good pressure to have to go to a team battling it out for promotion and something I experienced a little bit last year when I went in as number two at Chesterfield.
“I can’t wait to get started.”
