Keep Working

Hause confident results will improve

Kortney Hause is confident Wolves will get back to winning ways providing they continue to stay strong and keep working.

Tuesday’s defeat at Brighton was the team’s third in four games, all by the odd goal, and the England-under-21 defender has acknowledged that Wolves have been getting on the wrong end of some fine margins.

The team have also produced some impressive football and results so far this season, and Hause believes that a consistent run is well within their capabilities.

“It is about fine margins and we can talk about luck but as players we also have to create our own luck,” he said.

“We have to keep working hard, getting in the right positions, and getting some goals.

“Things will change.

“As long as we as a squad stay strong and continue to work hard and not take our feet off the gas it will crack for us.

“We will create chances and score, we need to do it ASAP to start climbing the table and getting to where we think we should be.

“We’re just going through a bad patch but as long as we carry on working hard in training and games I’m sure we’ll crack it and start scoring.

“We’ve definitely got more victories in us. We’ve got a big squad and good players. I don’t know what it is at the moment – it’s just one of those things.

“We work hard every day in training, there’s lots of players in each position so there’s lots of competition.

“Everyone’s working hard to try and stay in the team.

“As long as we keep sticking at it and stay hungry we’ll get the results we’ve been looking for.

“There is no point just thinking about it – as players we need to do it.”

Hause admitted it was a frustrating night at Brighton, with Wolves unable to make a breakthrough even with some sustained last gasp pressure.

“It was a very frustrating night to go away with nothing,” he said.

“We were annoyed as well – we had done well to stay in the game and then created a lot of chances at the end.

“We had a lot of set pieces but couldn’t get the ball into the back of the net

“Coming away to Brighton, a good footballing team, they were always going to dominate the possession.

“They didn’t pepper our goal but at the end of the day have done enough to get the win which is frustrating for us.

“They defended well too and stayed strong and compact at the end when we pushed forward.

“Throughout the game we didn’t create enough chances and certainly not as many as we did against Aston Villa.

“You’ve got to give props to Brighton, they’re a good side especially at home, they create chances and have good players.

“But I think looking at the way was going at the end we could definitely have got something.”
