Old Gold Club Christmas special to feature Kevin Foley

Championship-winning defender Kevin Foley will be special guest on a festive Christmas Day edition of Old Gold Club as he lifts the lid on his career at Molineux.

The Republic of Ireland international, who made more than 210 appearances in gold and black, is the eighth former Wolves star to appear on the second series of the club’s official podcast as he chats to podcast hosts Mikey Burrows and ex-Wolves striker Chris Iwelumo.

On the 30-minute video show, Foley, who returned to Wolves at the end of his playing career as a coach within the Academy at Compton Park, will talk about being names Player of the Year as the club were promoted to the Premier League in 2009 as well as being a versatile member of Mick McCarthy’s squad.

Foley, who talks about joining Wolves from Luton in the summer of 2007, also takes the podcast behind the scenes of the club’s double drop to League One, as well as being part of the ‘bomb squad’ when Kenny Jackett came in as manager.

The episode will be aired at 6pm on Christmas Day, with a 30-minute Facebook and YouTube show, while an extended chat will go live on iTunes here.

Before the Foley episode goes live on all the usual podcast providers, supporters can listen to every previous episode on iTunes by clicking here or Spotify here.

The 2019/20 Old Gold Club series will be powered by Blyth Group, an industry-leading construction company driving investment and infrastructure across the UK, who are now on board for the show’s new series.

Blyth is currently recruiting for multi-skilled and single trades for both the insurance repair and construction sectors, as well as smaller ltd companies to strengthen their supply chain. For more information, click here.
