Popular promotion-winning midfielder Dave Edwards will join ‘King John’ Richards on the line-up for the first ever Old Gold Club Live this summer.
The Welsh international will be one of three Wolves heroes – alongside Richards – to feature on the inaugural live show, as regular hosts Mikey Burrows and Chris Iwelumo take their hit podcast to Wolverhampton Grand Theatre.
The pair and their guests will take to the stage on Friday 7th June 2019, with tickets from just £10 available now by clicking here.
A key member of the Wolves squad for more than a decade, ‘Dangerous Dave’ made more than 300 appearances in gold and black, throughout three tiers of English football.
Edwards had one of his most successful seasons at Molineux in 2008/09, appearing 44 times in the league as Wolves secured the Championship title and promotion back into the Premier League following a four-year absence.
During ten seasons at Wolves, in which Edwards played in the top three tiers of English football with the club, he netted 44 times, including five in the Premier League. Edwards was also a vital cog in the machine as Wolves secured a record-breaking League One title-winning season.
Since leaving Wolves two seasons ago, Edwards spent a year with Reading before re-joining Shrewsbury Town – his boyhood club.
Edwards will return to Wolverhampton as he joins Mikey and Lumes for a special night of laughter, lively debate and never-before-heard tales from the training ground and Molineux.
For those who haven't watched the show or heard the podcast, Old Gold Club is the weekly multi-platform show that features a different former player interviewed about their career at Molineux.
The first series of the podcast featured 30 episodes, with inductees ranging from Kenny Hibbitt and Ally Robertson, to Mick McCarthy and Karl Henry.
The podcast went straight into the Sports and Recreation charts at number five and has gone on to collect a legion of devoted fans, who now have the opportunity to attend the first ever Old Gold Club - Live.
Mikey and Lumes will bring their indomitable chemistry to the stage for one night only, with a further Wolves legend to be unveiled very soon.
