James Henry to be inducted into Old Gold Club

Record breaking League One promotion winner James Henry will be the latest former Wolves star to be inducted into the Old Gold Club as he appears on the popular podcast this week.

The midfielder, who joined Wolves from Millwall in October 2013, will be the 19th inductee to be interviewed about his time at the club by regular podcast hosts Mikey Burrows and Chris Iwelumo.

A key member of the Wolves side which picked up the League One trophy, Henry will talk about the title winning season during a half hour Facebook, YouTube and Twitter broadcast, before the extended podcast is released on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and all other podcast apps.

As the latest inductee into Old Gold Club, sponsored by Wolverhampton Building Supplies, the 29-year-old will also discuss what went on behind the scenes at Molineux during his four-year stint with the club.

Reuniting with his former Millwall boss Kenny Jackett, Henry scored four times during his 13-game loan spell at Molineux before becoming a permanent member of the Wolves squad during the January transfer window.

Henry made 32 league appearances during his first season with Wolves, netting ten goals as the side went on to secure the League One title with a record 103 points.

He continued to be a regular member of the team as Wolves competed in the Championship, stepping out 120 times in gold and black in three seasons. After a year on loan from Wolves at Bolton Wanderers, Henry joined current club Oxford United, where he is excelling for The U’s.

The latest Old Gold Club will be broadcast on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter from 6pm this evening, while the full podcast will be available on all the regular channels afterwards.

The first 18 episodes of the podcast, where guests included Carl Ikeme, Kenny Hibbitt, Ally Robertson, Matt Jarvis, Matt Murray, John Richards, George Elokobi, Steve Daley and Keith Downing are also available to listen back to by clicking here.
