A huge group of former Wolves players will gather at Bilston Town FC on Sunday for a charity match between the Wolves All Stars and the FA Veterans FC.
FA Veterans FC, which was formed after the demise of the charity ‘Football Aid’, will be taking on the Wolves legends in a 2pm kick-off on Sunday 29th October, with a £2 entrance fee for adults and £1 for children.
The Wolves All Stars player-manager Mel Eves said: “This game is a trip down memory lane for older Wolves fans and a valuable history lesson for younger supporters. It will be a unique turn-out of former players.
“My usual problem for these types of games is getting enough players to turn out. For this one it’ll be a problem as to who to pick for the starting line-up and who to leave on the bench.
“For everyone attending don’t forget to being your autographs books.”
Entry can be paid on the gate, while advanced tickets or sponsorship opportunities can be obtained by calling the organiser on 07956 625890.
Funds raised will go to 1P36 Family Trust, the New Cross neonatal department and Breast Cancer. To date, more than £385,000 pounds has been raised for the charities.
The Wolves All Stars team will feature Jody Craddock, Kevin Ashley, Micky Holmes, Colin Taylor, Matt Forman, Paul Jones, Mel Eves, Jackie Gallagher, Tony Dinning Dennis Pearce, Simon Osborn, Adam Proudlock, Matt Hill Seyi Olofinjana and possibly Dave Edwards and Karl Henry.
