Biography
Luke Cundle enjoyed a successful transition from Wolves Academy to the first-team during the 2021/22 campaign and appears to have a promising future.
The midfielder has spent eight years with the club, rising through each age category as captain, which saw him eventually lead the under-23s under the guidance of James Collins.
A senior debutant in the Carabao Cup in September 2019, Cundle consistently trained with the first-team for a number of years before becoming a permanent member of the group under Bruno Lage.
While Cundle’s Premier League debut was brief against Southampton in January, his start at Tottenham Hotspur attracted praise, as he enjoyed a 96 per cent passing accuracy and helped the team to three valuable points.
Two further appearances followed that season, as did a new four-year contract, which will see the youngster remain at Wolves until 2026.
