Wolves Women travel to Fylde Women in the FA Women’s National League on Sunday.
Dan McNamara’s side return to league action following last weekend’s Black Country derby exploits in the Birmingham Challenge Cup, before seeing Wednesday’s trip to Stourbridge postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The Old Gold secured a dramatic penalty shootout victory against West Brom last Sunday, earning a place in the final for the third successive season.
Meanwhile, Fylde have seen their last two fixtures against Stoke City and Burnley postponed, meaning they haven’t played since February 11th – a 2-1 defeat at Liverpool Feds.
The Coasters sit bottom of the Northern Premier Division having failed to win any of their 14 encounters in 2023/24.
In the reverse fixture in September, Destiney Toussaint scored a 26-minute hat-trick as Wolves struck five without response, with Tammi George and Beth Merrick also on the scoresheet that day.
On their last visit to Fylde, McNamara’s side were 4-1 winners thanks to goals from Beth Merrick (2), Toussaint and Tammi George in March 2023.
