As well as the rearranged fixtures, Dan McNamara’s side have also found out the remainder of their 2020/21 Women’s National League Division 1 Midlands slate of game, as only the first half of the fixture list had been confirmed before the season kicked off in September.
Following an enforced six-week break, Wolves will get their season back underway on Sunday 13th December, when they host Stourbridge in the Women’s FA Cup at the CKW Stadium.
Unfortunately, supporters will be unable to attend Wolves Women matches while Wolverhampton is in Tier 3 of the government’s Covid-19 local restrictions, with all matches during that period having to be played behind closed doors.
The team’s first match back in the league will see the women host Bedworth United – one of five matches which were postponed during ‘lockdown 2.0’ – the following weekend, with a 2pm kick-off at Castlecroft ahead of the Christmas period.
In the new year, Wolves have another rearranged home match against Long Eaton United on Sunday 10th January, while their other three fixtures which were due to have already been played – away to Doncaster Rovers Belles, Boldmere St Michaels and Holwell Sports – will also now take place in January.
The reverse fixtures will be played throughout January, February and March 2021, with Wolves also facing Sporting Khalsa, Leafield Athletic, Solihull Moors, Burton Albion, Wem Town and Lincoln City for a second time.
The 2020/21 season is due to end in April with a pair of home matches at the CKW Stadium, with Wolves set to host Doncaster Rovers Belles on 11th, before their final match of their league campaign against Holwell Sports the following Sunday.
