Everton vs Wolves | U23 Match preview

Wolves under-23s travel to the north west on Monday night as they look to get back to winning ways in Premier League 2 against Everton in Southport.

Head of Academy Scott Sellars will lead the team in their final Division 1 match of 2019 ahead of new head coach James Collins joining the club in the new year following his appointment last week.

With the exception of the 3-0 loss to Salford City in the Leasing.com Trophy, the under-23s have drawn their previous four matches 1-1 so will be looking at breaking the streak against the Toffees on Monday, although when the sides met on the first day of the PL2 season at Telford’s New Bucks Head, the game ended all square.

Everton sit just two points and two places ahead of Wolves in the Division 1 table and are currently on a run of four defeats on the spin in the league, however, they did have a morale boosting 3-0 victory over Watford in the Premier League Cup earlier this month.
