Boro Up Next For '23s

Wolves Under 23s face Middlesbrough Under 23s this afternoon in Premier League 2 at Compton Park (3pm).

Scott Sellars' side head into the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Leicester City in the quarter final of the Premier League Cup on Monday evening at Holmes Park.

The Middlesbrough game is the middle fixture in what is a busy week for the Under 23s.

After this afternoon's game, Wolves will play Norwich City on Sunday afternoon, also in Premier League 2.

Speaking after Monday's defeat, Scott Sellars said, "with the weather conditions, we’ve had a lot of cancellations so we’ve got a game Thursday and a game on Sunday- it’s a quick turnaround and we go again.

"We’ve still got the league to go for and we’re still in with an outside chance of making the play offs so we’ll go for that!"

The Wolves Head Coach has selected a larger than usual squad for the game against Middlesbrough, before he picks the 17 players who will make up the match day squad.

Middlesbrough are currently in the play off places in Premier League 2, Division 2 - they're fourth with 33 points. While, Wolves sit eighth with 27 points.
