Last season’s programme feature looking at the club’s younger players fired random questions at the lads – five about themselves, and five about their team-mates.
Here are the answers of Under-18s/21s striker Niall Ennis.

Who is your footballing hero?
This season it’s been Anthony Martial but, in the past, I’d have to say Thierry Henry. I like looking up to players who I would like to model my game on. I watch what they do in games and try and put that into my game to better myself. I can remember a few glimpses of Henry because I was quite young when he was in the Premier League so I see him mostly on Football Gold on Sky Sports. I’m a Man United fan so I’m always going to watch Martial and a lot of people compare him to Henry. Obviously I have my own style but I like the way they play the game and I believe watching them helps me.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve received?
I’d say one of the more well known ones: “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.” I try and base my game on working hard, even when I’m not necessarily having the best of games, because I still feel like I’m helping the team. Most of the coaches have said that to me throughout my time here and I’ve seen it around on the internet as well.
What has been your biggest setback?
Probably the injury I’ve had this season and when I was out last season for three months because of my heart operation. I’ve had my fair share. You always wonder if you’re going to be able to play like you did before when you come back from injury or if somebody’s going to come in and take your place. You just have to stay positive.
How would you describe yourself?
I’d say confident but not cocky. I think I’m easy to talk to and I will always talk to people when they feel uncomfortable. On the pitch, I’d say I’m a hard-working team player, determined and confident in the right places. You’ve got to have a bit of self-belief as well, belief that you’ve got the ability to do what you know you can in the tough games.
What is the best footballing moment you have seen?
As a Man United fan, I’d have to say the 2008 Champions League Final against Chelsea. I was born in 1999 so I’m too young to remember the treble winning season. Seeing John Terry slip and then seeing Anelka miss the final penalty – I was so excited.

Who is the best singer?
I’d say Brad Lindsey but I’d also say that I’m definitely up there with Nyeko Sinclair. I sang an initiation in front of the 18s last year, that was bit awkward. It was a Drake song.
Who is the most talkative?
Cameron John. He talks a lot. In my little circle of friends we all like the same things so we can just talk and talk about anything.
Who is the most stubborn?
That’ll be me. When I’m in a debate with someone from my team, even when I know I’m wrong, I’ll still try and twist it and make it look like I’ve won. Even if I’ve been defeated, I’ll still carry on arguing.
Who is the quietest?
I’ll have to say Akeal Rehman. He’s loud when he wants to be but, most of the time, he just keeps himself to himself. I haven’t played with him this season so I can’t really say what he’s like on the pitch.
Who is the most likely to embarrass themselves?
Cameron John. His haircut is terrible. He’s also had his fair share of little mistakes. There aren’t that many embarrassing things that happen in our squad but his haircut is embarrassing enough.
