All three group stage matches of Wolves under-21s’ Bristol Street Motors Trophy campaign for 2024/25 have now been confirmed.
Wolves have been drawn in Group B of the competition and will travel to Port Vale, Wrexham and Salford City.
James Collins’ side will begin at Port Vale, with a 7.45pm kick-off on Tuesday 3rd September at Vale Park.
The following month, Wolves will travel to Wrexham, newly promoted into League One, for the second group stage game at the Racecourse Ground on Tuesday 8th October at 7.30pm.
Wolves conclude the group stage at Salford City on Tuesday 12th November, with a 7.00pm kick-off time at the Peninsula Stadium. Ticket details for all three fixtures will be confirmed in due course.
All four teams in the group will play each other once in the first round of the tournament, with the top two teams from each group making it into round two.
Collins’ side are once again competing in the EFL competition, won by Peterborough United last season, having been invited as one of 16 Academy teams to join the 48 clubs in League One and League Two.
Last season, Wolves faced Notts County, Lincoln City and Derby County as they fell out of the competition in the group stages following successive defeats to the Imps and the Rams – despite the under-21s earning an impressive victory at Notts County in the opening fixture.
