Under-23 preview | Stoke vs Wolves

After the battle between the Premier League 2 Division 2 top two was postponed last week due to snow, Wolves under-23s are due to be back in action on Sunday afternoon with a visit to Stoke City.

James Collins’ second-placed side began the new year with a goalless draw away at Burnley following three successive away wins to finish the previous calendar year.

The development side’s draw at Burnley’s training ground allowed league leaders Leeds United extend their advantage at the summit of the Division 2 table thanks to their back-to-back wins over Stoke and the Clarets to start 2021.

Following that defeat to Leeds to begin their new year, the Potters bounced back immediately with a 2-0 win over Middlesbrough to move within two points of Wolves, who won the reverse fixture 3-0 back in September thanks to two goals from Taylor Perry, with the sides set to go head-to-head at Stoke’s training ground.

With the game to be played behind closed doors, supporters can still catch all the action live from Stoke-on-Trent on Wolves TV.

The match will be streamed online from 12pm, with the full match stream and commentary available to watch on wolves.co.uk, the Wolves App or the Wolves YouTube channel.
