On getting back to winning ways
“We needed the three points, so I’m very proud of the boys that we got the three points and didn’t give too many chances away, so it was solid from the boys.”
On keeping his second clean sheet of the season
“The clean sheet was very important for the team and for me as well. Obviously, as a goalkeeper you don’t want to concede goals, so we’re very pleased with the clean sheet.
“I had a bit more in this game, but I was happy to not concede any goals and do a good performance. That’s what we all needed.
“I’d rather have nothing to do because then the opponents are not close to the goal and I want to keep them away from having chances, but I think we all did a really good job to stay good defensively.”

On setting up the third goal
“I wasn’t too sure whether to go for it or not, but we were 2-0 up. If we were 1-0 up, I probably wouldn’t have done it, but in that moment I thought, ‘Why not’, but luckily it worked.
“I think it’s one of my strengths to start a quick counter, and this one was a good one, and a good way to win the game.
“It’s not often you can get an assist, but I was really happy for us to get the win because the three points were very important for us.”

On Shabani’s return from injury
“I was really happy for Meri. He’s been working really hard for the team and he deserved his goal.
“It’s been tough for him. He’s been out for almost a year and coming back was always going to be hard, but the most important thing for him was to get his confidence back again and start scoring goals.
“That’s what he’s here for; scoring goals and help the team as much as possible. I’m so proud of him because he did a good job and helped the team get the three points.”
