Rob Edwards’ side have picked up four points from their opening four games of Division 1 following their promotion last season but went into the international break on the back of a defeat to Leicester City at Telford’s New Bucks Head.
With a similar record to their opponents, Man City also have four points from their opening league matches, but ended the first four games on a positive, taking down Liverpool at Anfield.

Under-23 midfielder Elliot Watt feels Wolves should have taken more points from their opening games of the Premier League 2 season and looks ahead at Saturday’s trip to Manchester.
On falling to defeat against Leicester
“I felt Leicester changed the way they played to stop us from playing our usual game, which is why we struggled against them in the early stages of that game. That was the most intense game I’ve played at under-23 level – due to the intent and high pressure from them.
“They got the early goal, but we stayed in the game really well, grew into it towards the end of the first-half and dominated the second-half, so I felt we were unlucky not to have got anything out of the game in the end.”
On the challenge Man City will pose
“I think it suits us playing against the bigger teams. A lot of times last season we played better against the bigger teams; we did the double over Manchester United – that last game won us the league.
“It suits us and brings out the best in us, especially with the shape we play. We’re really looking forwards to it, it will be a good challenge and will enable us to see where we are as a team, up against Man City, who are a great team with great individuals.
“It will be a great test and one I’m sure we’ll do everything we can to come out on top of.”
