Edwards, his staff and players arrived in Hong Kong earlier in the week and trained at Hong Kong Football Club on Friday, in preparation for the tournament on Saturday.
Wolves, who are making their competition debut, are one of eight British clubs competing in the seven-a-side tournament, which is celebrating its 20th year.
The tournament begins for Wolves against HKFA Red Dragons, before an all-British clash with Rangers and the final group game against Hong Kong FC.
A place in the top two of the group will be the aim and would see Wolves progress into the knockout stages on Sunday, where potentially a quarter-final, semi-final and final awaits.
Edwards has selected a strong squad of nine under-23s players, who celebrated promotion to Premier League 2 Division 2 last month after a dramatic comeback victory at Manchester United.
Ryan Giles and Elliot Watt, who featured for Nuno Espirito Santo’s first-team during 2018/19, are amongst those who’ll represent Wolves in Hong Kong in the HKFC Citi Soccer Sevens.
