Defeat to Aston Villa a week ago has proved costly, with Southampton taking the impetus with two games remaining, but playing in front of a healthy crowd at Molineux will give Rob Edwards’ side a further boost.
In the penultimate game of the season, victory would move Wolves back to the summit, above Reading on goal difference, with Southampton not in action until Thursday, but Newcastle and Villa remain in the mix too, with just four points separating the top five teams.
Back in November the two teams shared four goals and the points, as Benny Ashley-Seal’s brace was cancelled out by a Stoke fightback, but Wolves have beaten Manchester United and Southampton at Molineux this term, so will be targeting three more points in home comforts.

“We’ve had three really good games at Molineux so far this season; let’s try and make it four. You never know what will happen, but it’s good experience for the boys to be playing there, but it will be another really tough challenge.
“Stoke are a good team, I know they lost to Newcastle in their last game, but we will see. I think it will be a good challenge and we’ve had a week to prepare and are looking forward to it.”
