The Under 23s boss is expecting a tough test from an Exeter team which could be a mix of U23s and reserve team players.
He said, “It will be a tough game because Exeter will come with a reserve side.
“We’ve got a quite a few lads away on International duty - we lose Elliot Watt and we’re without Pedro, midfield players are a key part of our team. We’ve just loaned Nicu Carnat out as well - it drops our numbers down a bit so some of the younger players could be pushed up.
“It’s an opportunity for somebody else to play.
“We’ve had a couple of bad results but they showed in the last game, that in the second half they played really well.
“We’re through to this next round of the cup so overall the lads are doing really well.
“It will be a good challenge for us, a good test, a different test compared to playing against players of the same age. We’re looking forward to it.”
Supporters will be able to attend the game which will be played at Compton Park. Admission will be free to all fans, however there will be no parking on the site due to limited spaces being available.
