The young Wolves side are unbeaten in Premier League 2 since October while also being only a point away from qualification the the Premier League Cup.
Sellars’ side ran out 2-0 winner in their last game as they beat Norwich City at St. George’s Park in the Premier League Cup.
Sellars felt that the win against Norwich was his side’s best performance of the season.
“Obviously the performance on Monday against Newcastle was, again, very strong and then on Friday night I thought we were excellent - our most consistent performance and we dominated large parts of the game, especially in the first half. It was probably the best we’ve played all season.
We’re top with 10 points, we probably need another point to qualify with two games remaining.
“We’ve got Bury next Friday and then Bournemouth the following Monday - we’ve got lots of games coming up and hopefully qualifying gives the lads a chance to play more games in a cup competition.
“We also had a game yesterday against Kidderminster with the 23s and some first team players as well to try and get the lads some minutes.
“We’ve got lots of games coming up at the moment so it was great for them.
“Again, I thought they performed really well and once again the performance particularly in the first half was excellent.”
After an inconsistent start to the season, Sellars side now look likely to qualify for the next round of the Premier League Cup as well as still having a chance of making the play-offs in Premier League 2.
The Under 23s boss is pleased with his side but challenged them to be consistent over the coming games.
“As always, you are constantly changing at Under 23s level - come the end of August and then come the end of January, you generally know what you’ve got,” Sellars said.
“What’s really pleased me is the work we’ve done over the last few weeks to try and set them into a team has really come through.
“We’ve been very patient and asked them to be patient - we look actually more of a team.
“We had some very good individuals but now as a team, I’m really enjoying watching us play, we’ve played with a lot of control.
“In terms of dominating the ball and creating chances, I’m really pleased at the moment.
“We’ve had a really big squad this year but we’ve always known that we’ve had a big squad of some good players.
“The first part of the season was an opportunity was for some of the more senior players to prove themselves and get themselves out on loan.
“During that time, I kept saying to the younger ones that their chance would come in January.
“People like Carlos (Heredia) has waited, been very patient and kept working - he’s played the last three games and in each game, he’s been getting better and obviously his goal against Norwich was excellent.
“The lads are getting their opportunities and taking them - there were lads in the team against Kidderminster who showed they’ve got quality and we also had Ryan Giles up with us from the Under 18s - that was a good opportunity for him and he got a goal yesterday as well.
“We’ve got some really talented players and I’m really pleased with how it’s going at the moment.
“We set them two targets really. The first one is to work hard, the second bit is to work hard in an organised manner but also using intelligence and be clever in their work ethic and if we get those two things together we get a team.
“At the moment we’ve got a team of really good individuals who have produced some really good performances over the last few weeks. Pedro (Goncalves), Elliot Watt, (Jose) Xavier as well - Benny (Ashley-Seal) has done really well as a number nine, he’s had to be patient as Donovan (Wilson) was doing so well.
“Then, the other night Sherwin (Seedorf) was injured and Will (Randall) came in and he was excellent as well.
“We’ve certainly got of lot of players who can fill the spots in the team.”
