Breslin was part of the team, who last time out, drew 3-3 to Monday’s visitors after they had led 3-0 in the game.
He says that during the last two weeks since the draw against Norwich, the Under 23s have focussed on eradicating errors and taking the positives from their performance last time out.
The 20 year old began, “The way we played, we started off so well and we were flying - that was probably the best half that we’ve played all season.
“After that it was just silly mistakes, and that’s happening every week now and we need that to stop.
“We’ve taken the positives out of it - we do that every game, there’s no point dwelling on negative things.
“We’ve been conceding a lot of goals from set-pieces and long balls forward, and not winning our headers.
“We’ve been working a lot on that in training since the last game - it needs to be sorted because it becomes a serious problem if you keep conceding in the same manner.
“Going forward, I think we’re flying - it’s just the silly mistakes at the back we’re making.
“At ‘23s level, you never know what squad they may have - they could bring 4/5 first team players down or they could have the same team as they had against us last time out.”
Breslin was a regular in the Under 23s that narrowly missed out on promotion last season, but is only one of a few who remain following a number of players being sent out on loan.
He feels that since his team mates have gone out on loan, he now has more responsibility within the dressing room.
“I’m one of the oldest now within the group and obviously Simmo’s (Aaron Simpson) gone on-loan now - he was quite vocal in the dressing room, along with CJ (Connor Johnson) and Leaky (Ryan Leak),” Breslin continued.
“Some of us have to step up and some of the lads have stepped in and done great as well.
“I feel that nothing changes for me personally but I do have a bit more responsibility as I’m getting older. Personally, I think I’ve been playing o-k but obviously as a team we haven’t been doing as well.”
As well as mistakes, Breslin believes that teams who are facing Wolves are upping their game for when they play against them.
He says that after finishing second in the league last year, opposition teams are coming to stop Wolves from playing which he says has been more difficult to play against.
“There’s just little mistakes and I’ve been as fault for some goals as well - we need to cut them out but we keep taking the positives out of everything.
“We need to start climbing up the table - we had a really good season last year and I think teams have realised that we’re a really good team.
“They’ve realised that we had such a good season last year and they’re coming at us and trying to stop us from playing - it’s tougher this year.
“We start off straight at them again and we will see how we get on.”
