It was heartbreak for the Under 23s in the 2016/17 campaign - after reaching the play-offs and finishing second in the league, they were beaten by West Ham United at Molineux which meant they would remain in league’s second tier.
The Wolves development squad will also have less competitive games this season as it has been confirmed that Wolves will not be involved in the Checkatrade Trophy, a competition in which they played five games in last season.
It has also been confirmed that Wolves will once again play the majority of their home games at AFC Telford’s The New Bucks Head Ground with a handful of games being held at Molineux.
It will be a local derby at Molineux on Monday 28th August as West Bromwich Albion will be the visitors.
Some other key dates for your diary are Aston Villa at Telford on October 16th and the new year begins with a trip to West Bromwich Albion on January 8th which will be played at Kidderminster Harriers.
In addition to the league campaign, Wolves will also be competing in the Premier League Cup competition.
Entry to all of the Under 23's home games will remain free for Wolves Season Ticket holders.
