Oliver McBurnie scored two second-half goals to overturn an early Wolves lead earned through Christian Herc and, in doing so, knocked Wolves out of the Checkatrade Trophy in Round Three.
Wolves started the game on the front foot and had the better of the early chances. Herc found himself in space in behind the Swansea back line and he took a touch before shooting into the side netting from a narrow angle.
Will Randall was next to fire an effort goalwards, he cut inside from the left wing before curling an effort low into the grateful arms of Gerhard Tremmel.
Just after the ten-minute mark, a Wolves corner was cleared as far as Herc on the edge of the box, he took a touch before striking just wide of the mark on the half-volley.
But Herc would have another chance from the edge of the box just minutes later. Randall went on a driving run from the left wing before pulling-back to the midfielder on the edge of the box, Herc struck it first time and fired beyond the static Gerhard Tremmel to give Wolves a deserved lead.
The hosts, who'd had little of the game up to this point, looked for an immediate response and had a great chance to level. Daniel James found himself in space inside the Wolves box but his curling effort missed well wide of the far post.
Ten minutes later and James had another sight of the Wolves goal, but Burgoyne got down quickly to palm his low half-volley wide of the target.
Aaron Collins was presented with a great chance to double Wolves' lead just after the 30-minute mark, he ran clear through on goal after being picked out in behind but the striker didn't catch his shot well and fired wide of the near post.
Swansea's best chance of the half fell to Owain Jones, who was introduced to replace the injured Modoue Barrow, a cross from the Swans left wing found him on the edge of the Wolves six-yard box but he could only direct his glancing header wide of the far post.
Wolves looked to press before the half time break and, after another direct run from the left wing, Randall found himself with space to shoot but his effort was smothered by Tremmel.
The away side continue to apply pressure in first half stoppage time but failed to test the Swansea 'keeper and settled for a 1-0 advantage at the break.

The hosts started the second half quickly and it wasn't long before they were level. Tyler Reid crossed low into the Wolves box where the ball fell kindly to McBurnie and he made no mistake from six yards.
McBurnie was presented with another opportunity just minutes later after winning a free-kick 20-yards from goal. He stepped up and forced Harry Burgoyne into a smart save low to his left-hand side.
Swansea pressure continued as the half progressed, Reid found space for a shot just inside the angle of the Wolves box but his low effort across the face of goal missed just wide of the far post.
The game started to settle but the hosts continue to have the better of the chances, with their next opportunity falling to Joe Rodon, he was picked out from a Swansea corner before heading narrowly over Burgoyne's crossbar.
McBurnie was a consistent thorn in Wolves' side and came close to heading the hosts in front, he rose to meet a Swansea corner but saw his effort come back off the foot of the post before the visitors cleared.
Wolves' best chance of the second half fell to substitute Bradley Reid, he brilliantly brought down a long before looking to round Tremmel but the goalkeeper was equal to it and he dispossessed the striker.
Burgoyne was then again called into action by McBurnie as the forward took a touch with his back to goal, he looked for the spectacular with an overhead kick but the Wolves 'keeper was at full stretch to tip the effort over his crossbar.
But McBurnie refused to be denied and was on target just minutes later. He rose to meet a cross from the Swansea right wing and headed a firm effort in off the post to give the hosts a late lead.
As the final minutes passed by, Wolves pressed for a leveller but couldn't break the Swansea defence down and fell to defeat at the Liberty Stadium.
