Under 23s Randall wants more goals

Will Randall wants to hit the back of the net

Will Randall discusses his desire to add more goals to his game as the Under 23s prepare to face Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday night.

I am happy with the season that I have had so far, it is just that last little bit that can push me on even further." Will Randall

Winger Will Randall has admitted ahead of tonight’s game against Brighton and Hove Albion that he is pleased with his overall performances for the under 23’s so far this season - but he would like to add more goals to his game.

With a single goal to his name this season, Randall confirmed that he had been working hard in training with coach Scott Sellars to improve on those final things that would see him become the complete winger.

The 19-year-old said: “Of course my finishing is something that I would like to see get better.

“It is something that I need to work on a little bit more but my overall game is something that I have been happy with but it is just that last little bit that will push me on and make me more noticeable.

“I am happy with the season that I have had so far, it is just that last little bit that can push me on even further.

“I try and get into the gym to improve myself physically or I try to practice my finishing after training.

“It is just the little things that I try to improve on because they make all the difference.

“Again, that might be physically or it might be that extra work on my technique.”

The wide man joined Wolves last January from Swindon Town where he had made 11 appearances in all competitions in three seasons.

Since his move he believes that individual guidance from the under 23’s coaches is what has led to him being one of the most consistent names on the teamsheet this season.

“You get a lot more individual training here.

“The coaching staff help you work on different positions so I feel like that is helping me improve.

“Scott was a winger in his day so he is teaching me stuff everyday about how to be the complete winger and about how I can improve.

“Getting that individual training is just what you want to give you that little bit of extra detail in your game.

“Training as a group, the coaching staff can’t look at you as an individual but Scott is really good with his attention to detail so he always tries to help everyone improve their games.

“Confidence-wise they have given me a massive boost since I have come in which is what you want as a player.”
