Scott Sellars looks ahead to Wolves Under 23s' PL2 clash with Newcastle United on Friday night.
Wolves go into the game following a strong start to their league campaign and the Under 23 Coach explained how they are approaching every game with confidence.
He said: “As a group of staff and a group of players we’re looking forward to every game at the moment.
“We’re feeling confident that we can perform well. We’ve got good players so that always gives you confidence that you can get a good result."
“We’re back to the Under 23s now so it will be a young squad that plays.
“Niall Ennis has still got a bit of a tight hamstring from the Everton game so he won’t be involved and Christian Herc returns from international duty on Friday so it would be a bit much to ask him to come straight back in and play.
“Nouha’s done his development with us. It was great to see him come through and now he’s back with the first team squad.
“His development programme and rehabilitation was as an Under 23 player so every training has been with us.
“Nouha’s been able to understand what we do and hopefully that’s helped him."
Friday's game will be played at Molineux and Sellars believes the added pressure is a big help to the young players' development.
“The part we’re looking for in their development is to play in front of a crowd and under a little bit more pressure," explained the coach.
“No matter who you’re playing against, if there’s support there it helps you.
“The players have got to learn to deal with that and that’s something I can’t teach them. The lads appreciate when there’s a good fan base there.
“I’d like to think they will enjoy how the lads play, I’d like to think they’ll enjoy the quality of the players – it’s a young group who have been together for a while and have been successful.
“On a Friday night when it’s still not too cold it would be good to come and see the lads who are going to follow Dominic Iorfa, Jordan Graham etc. into the first team."
The Newcastle clash follows on from Wolves' 3-2 victory in the Checkatrade Trophy last week, a competition that has added an extra dimension to the team's progress.
Sellars explained: "Everything about that competition has been positive. There’s not one part of it that I think hasn’t worked for us.
“Because of the side that Crewe Alexandra put out, the last game felt like an early-round League Cup game.
“Nouha got the goals and we had some older players but the younger players coped really well having been put under some real pressure.
