Rob Edwards’ first pre-season campaign in charge of Wolves will begin with a friendly fixture away at Maidenhead United next month.
The National League South side will be the Old Gold’s opening opponents this summer as Wolves travel to York Road on Tuesday 21st July for a 7.30pm kick-off.
A visit to Berkshire to take on The Magpies has been two years in the making after originally being agreed as part of the deal to sell Maximilian Kilman to West Ham United.
Further pre-season friendlies will follow during July, before the fixtures conclude for the Old Gold in the Netherlands, as the Edwards' side travel to take on Eredivisie outfit SC Heerenveen from 3pm local time (2pm BST) on Saturday 1st August at Abe Lenstra Stadion.
There are still further discussions due to be held with Heerenveen and their stakeholders, such as police and local authorities, regarding away supporters, which will include matters such as transportation and supporter allocation. This information will be communicated to Wolves fans once confirmed.
During the summer, the squad will also be heading to Portugal for warm-weather training, although no public fixtures will take place during this trip.
More information regarding the pre-season fixtures that are still to be added to the 2026/27 schedule, will also be released once confirmed.
Wolves’ warm-weather training camp and pre-season fixtures will prepare the squad for their new campaign, which gets underway with a Carabao Cup first round tie on the weekend of 7th August, before the EFL Championship begins the following weekend.
Ticket details for the friendly fixtures will be announced in due course, while all matches will be streamed live on Wolves TV, with more information released in the coming weeks.
