Wolves supporters can now vote for their January Player of the Month, after the Emirates FA Cup took centre stage for the first month of 2024.
Three of Wolves’ four matches during the month came in the FA Cup, as Gary O’Neil’s side started the calendar year with an unbeaten January.
First, Brentford were defeated via a replay in round three. Ten-man Wolves battled from a goal behind to earn a replay thanks to Tommy Doyle’s stunning strike in the capital.
Then back at Molineux, Nelson Semedo and Nathan Fraser twice equalised against the Bees, before Matheus Cunha’s penalty booked a Black Country derby.
Before then, the Old Gold returned from Brighton & Hove Albion with a good point to their name, after becoming the first side to keep a clean sheet at the Amex since last February.
The month concluded with a first victory at the Hawthorns in 28 years, courtesy of Pedro Neto and Cunha strikes, setting up another clash with Brighton February.
