Hwang's Newcastle stunner up for Goal of the Month

Hee Chan Hwang’s exquisite finish against Newcastle United has been nominated for the Budweiser Goal of the Month award for October.

With Wolves trailing going into the second half at Molineux on Saturday, Hwang was the one to put the final touches to a stunning move to get his side back on level terms.

Following a clever flick by Mario Lemina, Toti displayed the fanciest of footwork to dance his way past three Newcastle players before playing a composed pass into the path of Hwang inside the box. After taking a touch with the outside of his left boot to sit Dan Burn down, the South Korean turned inside before firing low into the bottom corner of the net.

That goal - which was Hwang's sixth consecutive at Molineux in the top flight - earned Gary O’Neil’s side a well-deserved point against the Champions League chasers and is now competing against seven other Premier League goals to earn the latest monthly award.

Hwang faces competition from Jacob Larsen, Jack Harrison, Bryan Mbeumo, Saman Ghoddos, Diogo Dalot, Eddie Nketiah and Philip Billing.

Supporters can give Hwang their vote between now and midday on Monday 6th November, with the winner announced the following Friday at 1pm.
