Supporters invited to Fan Advisory Board

Wolves are encouraging supporters from all backgrounds to put themselves forward to be considered for a position on the new Fan Advisory Board.

The club announced that a new Fan Advisory Board will be launched ahead the start of the 2023/24 season which will allow supporters to discuss matters of importance directly with key members of staff at the club.

The Fan Advisory Board follows on from the success of the club’s Fan Focus Groups which are currently set up to cover ticketing, retail and commercial, EDI and matchday experience with an environmental sustainability group also being launched earlier this month.

The Fan Advisory Board will be made up of a representative from each of the clubs Fan Focus Groups as well as a representative from the Wolves 1877 Trust and a representative from the Wolves Disabled Supporters Association. To complete the initial make-up of the Fan Advisory Board, there will also be a seat for an independent supporter not affiliated to any of the groups previously listed.

The final position will be filled on an application basis, with the application process for all interested supporters is now open and accessible here. The deadline for applications is midnight on Friday 23rd June.

At this stage, all the applications will be considered and reviewed. A shortlist will be selected and passed to a panel, consisting of club representative and an independent representative from the Football Supporters Association (FSA), to decide the final member. Those selected for the next stage of the process will be contacted in early July.

Dave Wood, Fan Services manager, said: “As a football club, we are pleased to be in a position where we are close to launching our Fan Advisory Board, after a thorough process.

“In recent years we have launched a number of fan focus groups and have also allowed fans to have their say on a wide range of matters through a series of surveys. We now hope that the introduction of a FAB will allow the voice of the fans be even greater in the future.”

If you are interested, please make sure you are willing to give up your time to be a part of the meetings and discussions. All applicants must be over the age of 18. More information on the Fan Advisory Board can be found here.
