Hee Chan Hwang, Maximilian Kilman, Joao Moutinho, Jose Sa and Nelson Semedo are all in contention to pick up the award after a stand-out month in old gold.
Wolves’ month on the pitch was a mixed affair results-wise, with their four games producing two victories and two defeats. Bruno Lage’s men were able to pick up their first Premier League win of the campaign away at Watford early in the month, before making it successive three points on the road at Southampton last weekend.
Individually, Hwang started his Wolves career in impressive fashion, scoring just 20 minutes into his gold and black debut, as he came off the bench to convert his side’s second of the game at Vicarage Road.
Defender Kilman, fresh from winning August’s Player of the Month, has continued his sparkling run of form, playing every minute under Lage in September and completing 13 clearances – the most in Wolves colours.
Nominated for the second month in a row, Moutinho continues to defy his years with the midfielder making the 191 passes in the three Premier League matches last month, more than any other Wolves player.
Sa has had a solid month between the sticks for Wolves, keeping clean sheets against Watford and Southampton, while also providing an assist at St Mary’s to be named in several teams of the week.
At right wing-back, Semedo was a threat at both end of the pitch last month. Although denied his opening goal of the campaign, he combined for more attempted tackles and shots on goal than any other Wolves defender.
Voting is now open and will run until midnight on Tuesday 5th October.
The winning player will once again receive a custom-made Castore Player of the Month award.
