Wolves to face Espanyol in Europa League last 32

Wolves have been drawn against Espanyol in the club’s first appearance in the knockout stages of major European competition in almost 40 years.

Following Thursday night’s victory over Besiktas at Molineux, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will be in high spirits as they entertain the Spanish outfit over two legs in the 2019/20 Europa League round of 32.

The first leg will take place on Thursday 20th February at Molineux, kick-off 8pm (UK time), before the second leg at the RCDE Stadium on Thursday 27th February, kick-off 5.55pm (UK time).

To get to this stage of the competition, Wolves have had to get through several qualifying ties before finishing as runners-up in their Group K campaign following games against Braga, Besiktas and Slovan Bratislava.

Wolves were guaranteed to avoid ties with fellow Premier League sides Manchester United and Arsenal, as well as Group K winners Braga, following their two matches in the previous stage. The draw paired Wolves with Espanyol, currently sat 20th in La Liga.
