Coady: "We're Enjoying The Moment"

Conor Coady says that, after sealing the league title, Wolves are enjoying the moment rather than looking ahead to next season.

Wolves sealed the Sky Bet Championship title with a comfortable 4-0 win away at Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.

Coady says that he hopes the success continues for many years to come.

He said, “It was a really happy day for me, it was such a great feeling.

“In front of nearly 5,000 Wolves fans as well, it was special for me.

“This whole season is one that I’ll look back on and think ‘I’ve played in a good team here!’

“The fans have travelled home and way to watch us this season and I hope they’ve enjoyed watching us. It’s really special to play in front of them.

“We went to Bolton with a plan and how to play and I thought we were outstanding.

“To go and play like that after going up the week before, it was such a good performance and win for us.

“We’re champions - that’s what we wanted to do, we wanted to win the division and win the trophy and we can’t wait for next Saturday now,” Coady said.

“That’s when it gets properly started, we look forward to next week and we go again.

“We’re in a lovely position and I always enjoy playing football but you’ve always got that pressure on your shoulders that you’ve got to go out and perform.

“We’ve got to where we wanted to be, so we can go and enjoy it now.”

Although Wolves aren’t looking too far into the future, Coady admits the the players are excited for what next season holds.

“We’re looking forward to next season - we’re enjoying the moment that we’re in now because it’s no mean feat getting promoted from the Championship with it being such a tough division,” Coady continued.

“To do it the way we have, is excellent! I always had belief in this club that it was going to move forward. There’s a great infrastructure in place now from top to bottom.

“Hopefully that continues for many years, we’ve got some fantastic players, we’ve got a fantastic manager who plays the right way and wants to do it the right way and I’m hoping that it will go on for many years at this football club.”
