We'll Come Back Stronger

Ruben Neves is looking forward to the International break, a break which he feels has come at a good time for Wolves.

Wolves won both games heading into the break, beating Reading and Burton Albion at Molineux.

A number of players will now go away to play for their national teams, including Neves who is part of the Portugal squad who will play Egypt and the Netherlands. While the rest of the squad will have a short time before before returning to training.

He says he is delighted to be selected to play for the national team, but vows to come back to do his best for Wolves.

"Now we will enjoy our international break and come back again to do the same,” he said.

"It's a good time (for the break), we won the last two games so we have to enjoy, to rest and after we'll come back stronger.

"I'm really happy to go to the national team and help my country and work with some very good players, the best player in the world.

"I will enjoy it and come back and do my best for Wolverhampton.

"It's my job, I have to work to do it well. Fortunately I can go to the national team and I'll enjoy it.”

Speaking after the win against Burton on Saturday, he says that it was a well earned three points but insists that Wolves must remain focused when they return from the break.

“It was a very good win for us,” said Neves, "We know Burton came to Molineux to win points, they needed points, but we did a very good job.

"It was really cold but the team are focused and the weather doesn't matter for us – we just play.

"We are focused on our game. We had some bad results before but we bounced back really good - we showed we're focused on our Championship.

"We think game by game. We have a lot of work to do and we're focused.”
