The 24 year old says that he is excited by the recent changes at the club and admits that he didn’t want to miss out on being a part of the exciting time.
Coady, who has played every Sky Bet Championship game this season, also admitted he is learning from Head Coach Nuno Espirito Santo.
He now feels that can improve improve on his play as he aims to focus on Saturday’s fixture against Barnsley at Molineux (3pm).
He began, “It’s not been weighing on my mind at all, it’s something that I wanted to get done as quick as possible.
“It hasn’t taken long, it’s something that I wanted to get to and I can just focus on playing football.
“I wanted to sign here and I wanted to commit here, now that I’ve done that I’m over the moon.
“I’ve looked at it in terms of there being a lot of change and I wanted to be part of that change - I want to be part of everything that’s going on at this club.
“There are some very talented individuals that have come to the club, you’ve seen the manager come in from Porto and I wanted to learn from him it’s as simple as that.
“He’s brought in all his own staff and all of them have been fantastic with every single one of the boys.
“It was something that I wanted to be a part of and it was up to me to make myself a part of that - up to now it’s been going quite well but I’d like to think I can improve a lot more now and hopefully keep helping the team.
“Up to now, we’ve done that this season but I think it’s just about improving. I’ve got a lot more experience by playing games in the Championship for this club and I know what it means to play for this football club now.
“It’s a huge club and like I said to commit my future to it is massive for me.
“I came here with a goal in mind, and I’ve not done that yet. I came here two years ago wanting to get out of the league with this football club - we’ve not been good enough up to now, it’s as simple as that.
“I think everybody craves wanting to get out of this league and I’m no different. I want to keep on helping this club move forward and hopefully we can keep on improving this season make it a season to remember.”
Coady arrived from Huddersfield in July 2015 at the age of 22, and now 24 years old, he feels that he’s grown up since then.
Since arriving as a central midfielder, Coady has played in midfield, at right back and in central defence for Wolves.
When asked how his role had changed since joining the club, he said, “I always like to think that I’m a little bit of a talker around the place, it’s something I want to do - I want to help people.
“I want to try and help people as much as I can - on the pitch, off the pitch, it’s something that I want to try and do.
“If it’s a young lad or someone else, I want to try and help them - it’s just part of what I want to do. We’ve lost some good boys this season - ‘Eddo’s’ gone, Dicko’s gone and they were experienced heads in the changing room.
“I think it’s about people stepping forward now and helping this club move forward.
“I want to keep on improving my game and that’s part of my game - it’s something I want to keep going on with now.
“I think I’ve grown up since I signed for the club - I came here at 22, I’ve had two average seasons here from our point of view, we knew that something needed to change along the way, we needed to change our performances, we needed to get more consistent in our play.
“All I can say at the minute is that I’m really enjoying doing what I’m doing - I’m enjoying learning off the manager and his staff and all the boys who have come in.
“It’s about all the boys coming together now, taking each game at a time and really kicking on.”
