Wolves have won their first three games of the campaign without conceding a goal, most recently in overcoming Derby on Saturday with a highly accomplished performance.
But it’s straight back on the road to the KCOM Stadium, for what the Head Coach knows will be another tough test of Wolves’ credentials.
“I am happy and I am pleased but I will never get carried away,” says Nuno.
“That is because there is a long way to go, a very long way to go, and we can never lose this sense of responsibility that we have.
“So yes, enjoy, be happy, and there are moments we should already be proud to have achieved.
“But we have to do it all again tonight.
“It is always day by day, game by game, and we have another big challenge ahead of us at Hull.
“It will be a tough game again.
“They are a good team with a good coach and last year they were in the Premier League.
“They have two good results in the competition so far but we will be ready to fight and to compete because we want to win.”
Nuno has revealed he was well versed in all the opposition ahead this season even before the first day of pre-season having been doing plenty of homework from the day he was appointed.
“Nowadays there are a lot of tools available to find out about opponents and this is the job that the coaching team had before we even started,” he says.
“Finding out about all our opponents and their characteristcis and study them.
“The first point is about us – but then you also have to think about who you are going to face.
“From the moment we embraced this project of Wolves we’ve been working really hard.
“From day one we passed this message to the players.
"We knew that no matter what opponent we would have
tough competition and a tough job to do.
"The boys are working hard to be able to now perform this way and be able to play the way we want to – to keep progressing and getting better.
"Every day is a very important day of work.”
Nuno is also pleased with the competition for places within the squad.
On Saturday neither Jordan Graham or Dave Edwards – who is unavailable tonight after picking up a knock on training – were included in the squad with others like Joe Mason and Michal Zyro also yet to get an opportunity.
"There is a lot of internal competition for a place in the team, but also in the squad,” Nuno explains.
“The players are ready to play Saturday/Tuesday because they’ve worked very hard in pre-season with a lot of hours on the pitch.
“And no matter what choices we make they’ll be made with a lot of thinking.
"We have other options. It’s for us to decide, for us to pick the right one.
"It’s what I’ve been telling the players, not only them but everybody, be able to fight so hard.
"Everybody is important, not only the players who start, or are on the bench, or are at Compton, but all the people here at club and all the fans – everybody is important.
"This is the wolf pack. It’s so important everyone gives a moment of help for the players to perform better.”
Nuno has been delighted with the support received from the fans so far.
Almost 1,200 are already making the trip to Hull this evening with pay on the night also available with tickets available from the Away Bar from 5.45pm (early arrival is advised if purchasing this evening).
“The fans are what we are here for – that is what the club is about – and it is for them that we work and try to give them joy.
“We want them to be proud of being a wolf.
“One thing I can promise to the fans is that every ball is going to be important for us.
"If the fans see this in their own players, this fighting, and trying to play at the same time, they will always be with us.”
