Bright Enobakhare says he will keep learning and keep working as he looks to build on his recent first team chance.
The 18-year-old striker has put pen to paper on a new two-and-a-half year contract, with a further year’s option in Wolves’ favour.
Since coming through Wolves Academy he has progressed to make ten senior appearances, the most recent a start in Paul Lambert’s first game at the helm, at Preston.
He has also impressed at Under-23 level this season, including scoring in Monday’s Checkatrade Trophy game with Sunderland (click here to view highlights).
“I was very pleased to get the new contract and also to have been involved in the first team,” says Enobakhare, who worked closely with Rob Edwards at Under-18 level and then with Scott Sellars at Under-23s.
“It has been a good experience for me and I just have to keep working and keep learning to get better.
“It is good that the new coach has picked me and is encouraging me and it is up to me now to show my potential.
“I feel confident at the moment and am enjoying playing and everyone is pushing me to get better.
“I never get carried away by anything.
“The ambition for me is to be in the first team and not on the bench so that is why I am trying to keep working hard.
“I have also enjoyed playing for the Under-23s this season because we are doing well and have won a lot of games.
“I am pleased to be at Wolves and feel settled here.
“I have learned a lot from the couple of years and need to carry on doing that and trying to improve.”
Enobakhare’s development has excited the Wolves fanbase, and he admits he is keen to be a crowd pleaser if possible!
“I am playing for the fans too and always want to make them pleased,” he says.
“I enjoy trying to make them happy and we want to make them feel good so that they come and watch the games.”
