Wolves have completed a double loan deal for Manchester United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Benfica winger Ola John.
Both players have completed medicals to join on season long loans and will be available for Tuesday night’s EFL Cup tie against Cambridge United, subject to international clearance for John.
Borthwick-Jackson has been with Manchester United since being taken on by the Academy at a young age.
Capped by England all the way up to Under-19 level, he came through the ranks to make his senior debut,as a substitute at home to West Bromwich Albion last November.
He went on to make 14 first team appearances for United last season, including high-profile fixtures against the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool.
At the end of the season he was voted the Reserve Player of the Year at Old Trafford
John, younger brother of former Fulham forward Collins John, started his career at FC Twente in his homeland.
He made his big breakthrough in the 2011/12 season, proving a key influence not only in the Dutch League but also the Europa League where he provided most assists during the group stages.
It was in May, 2012, that John was signed by Benfica, and started to figure more towards the end of that first season, including in the Europa League and Portuguese Cup finals.
There was a loan spell with Hamburg during the 2013/14 campaign, before returning to Benfica for the following season.
And in that campaign he helped Benfica win the league, Super Cup and the League Cup, scoring the winner in the final of the latter against Maritimo.
John spent last season on loan in the Sky Bet Championship with Reading.
He made 33 appearances with the Royals, 23 of which were from the substitute’s bench, scoring four goals.
