Midfielder returns from Millwall

Wolves have recalled Jed Wallace from his loan at Millwall.

The versatile midfielder has impressed on loan at the New Den, scoring one goal and producing a string of assists in his 14 appearances, helping the Lions climb into the Sky Bet League One play-off places.

Due to the maximum time period allowed with an emergency loan, Wallace would have returned to Molineux after April 9th, but he will now get the chance to stake a claim for a regular place in the Wolves team earlier than planned.

“We have watched Jed closely at Millwall, and he has enjoyed a very positive impact on the team with his performances,” said Head Coach Kenny Jackett.

“At 21 years of age, we are now keen to get him back to Wolves and to look for him to make the step-up and bridge the gap between League One and the Championship.”

Wallace enjoyed an impressive 2014/15 season with Portsmouth prior to joining Wolves, making 50 appearances and scoring 17 goals.

He has made seven appearances for Wolves so far, and now looks set for the opportunity to fight for a regular place in the team over the coming weeks.

He will report back for training with the rest of the squad tomorrow.
