Joe Mason's strike wasn't enough to prevent Preston North End from running out 2-1 winners at Molinuex on Saturday afternoon through goals from Paul Gallagher and Adam Reach.
And Batth revealed the squad's frustration. He said: “It was a frustrating afternoon, the lads were out there working hard.
“It’s disappointing when you’re in front of your own fans and you want to give them something to cheer about but we’ve come off with a 2-1 defeat.
“I think Preston were difficult to play against, they’ve been in good form of late but we haven’t been doing too badly either.
“We feel that we need to make more of an impact at home and impose ourselves more.
“At the same time, the more you go forward the more you leave yourselves exposed at the back.
“We just need to find that balance and that’s a continuing process.
“We have struggled at times this season at Molineux but we’ll be working on that through the week.
“We’ll hope we can go away in our next two games and take points from both of those."
When asked what it will take to turn the current form around, the skipper replied: “It’s a hard-working group that’s here now. We’re not playing without the passion or the desire that the fans warrant.
“At times it’s just not clicked for us and today was one of those days.
“The lads are out there, working hard in training and leaving no stone un-turned to make sure that we’re as good and well-drilled as we can be when we go out and play in front of the fans.
“There are always ups and downs in the Championship and you’ve seen that again today.
“We’re not in bad form but we’re not playing the best football we have.
“It’s been a tricky season for a lot of reasons but we maintain our pride and passion in playing for Wolves."
