Three Wolves loanees made their Football League debuts on the opening weekend of the 2023/24 season.
Chiquinho, Dexter Lembikisa and Tyler Roberts were all second half substitutes as the trio made their league bows for their respective new clubs.
Stoke City’s Ki-Jana Hoever, alongside Chiquinho, faced Lembikisa’s Rotherham United at the bet365 Stadium and the Dutch defender started where he left off in 2022/23.
Now in his second loan spell with the Potters, it took Hoever just five minutes to open his account for the campaign, as he struck a sublime volley to set Alex Neil’s side on their way to a 4-1 victory on matchday one.

Chiquinho played his part in the success, coming on for the final 15 minutes, while Lembikisa played 32 minutes as a second half substitute on his second tier debut.
In League Two, Tyler Roberts was afforded the final 22 minutes on his professional league debut as Doncaster Rovers were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Yorkshire neighbours Harrogate Town.
Theo Corbeanu has enjoyed a fine start to life at Grasshopper Club Zurich, claiming his third assist in as many games to help his side to a 3-1 home win against Basel and a first three points of the season. Corbeanu will spend the 2023/24 campaign on a season-long loan in Switzerland alongside Nigel Lonwijk, who is yet to make his debut for the club as a result of an injury.
Saturday signalled the end of Cincinnati’s Leagues Cup run, with defender Yerson Mosquera playing the full 90 minutes of a 1-1 draw which went the distance, as Nashville eventually prevailed 5-4 on penalties to progress from the round of 16 tie.
In the National League, Louie Moulden was in between the sticks for Rochdale in their curtain-raiser, but was unable to prevent a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Ebbsfleet United.
Not the result we wanted yesterday, but plenty of positives to build on. Great to get out there at Spotland in front of all the fans🧤 @officiallydale pic.twitter.com/pgkYJyQkG4
