The first of three games in a week, Wolves will aim to start as they mean to go on with a positive result against Barnsley at Molineux on Saturday.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are level on points with Leeds United so will go top if they better the Yorkshire club’s score. Wolves have taken seven points from the last nine available, with victory over Nottingham Forest continuing their momentum. Now they’ll look to add Barnsley to their list of beaten sides at Molineux, consisting of Middlesbrough and Millwall so far.
Barnsley arrive on the back of an impressive showing against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley in mid-week, but it ultimately counted for nothing in defeat. The Tykes have endured a mixed start to the Championship campaign, with a 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa last weekend coming immediately after a draw at Preston North End and an eye-catching victory over Sunderland at Oakwell. Having played a game less than their rivals, Paul Heckingbottom’s men go into the clash three points above the drop zone.

Separated by two points, Leeds and Ipswich Town lock horns at Elland Road, while Cardiff City make the trip north to face Sunderland. Preston welcome Millwall to Deepdale, while there’s a first Sheffield derby since 2012 at Hillsborough on Sunday.
