The kick-off time of Wolves’ Premier League fixture with Sheffield United this Saturday has been moved to avoid clashing with the funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip.
The club joined British football by paying tribute to His Royal Highness, who passed away at the age of 99 last week, by observing silence before the fixture with Fulham on Friday night, while the players wore black armbands.
The Duke of Edinburgh's funeral will take place at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle at 3pm on Saturday 17th April, when a national minute's silence will be observed.
As Wolves’ fixture with the Blades was due to kick-off at the same time, the decision has been made to move the game to 8.15pm on Saturday evening. The match will still be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
