Wolves Foundation enjoying exposure

Wolves Foundation are to benefit from fundraising from a magazine, which has been written and designed by a Masters student and lifelong Wolves fan.

Tom Oakley, from Stafford, who previously worked as a reporter at the Express and Star, has produced ‘The Wolves Way’ as part of his final project at Sheffield Hallam University.

The not-for-profit magazine, featuring nostalgic interviews with former Wolves players including Carl Ikeme, Mel Eves and Jack Price, costs £3 with a further £2 for postage costs, and any proceeds will support the Foundation’s work and projects in the local community.

Tom, who produced the magazine in collaboration with the Lobos Wolves and True Reverie, said: “I'm a huge Wolves fan and passionate about print journalism so it just made sense to produce a magazine about the Old Gold and Black.

“I went to University last year after previously spending four years at the Express & Star since I was 19.

“I've really enjoyed putting it all together and I hope anyone who buys a copy enjoys reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing and designing it.

“The Wolves Foundation does some fantastic work to create opportunities for local people and the more copies I can sell means we can make a bigger donation to the charity.

“A huge thank you to anyone who has purchased or is planning to purchase a copy so far. And thanks to everyone who has supported the project too!”

A crowdfunder campaign to allow printing to go ahead has now finished, and further copies of the magazine are available to purchase.

Anyone interested can email tomoakley123@hotmail.co.uk or contact him via Twitter @journotoakley.

Wolves Foundation would like to thank Tom and all who helped with the magazine and all who purchase a copy for their support of the charity which is much appreciated.
