Jimenez on the spirit Wolves are built on

Raul Jimenez believes the spirit Wolves showed at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday is what characterizes them as a group.

Wolves came from behind yet again on Sunday, securing a sensational victory over Tottenham Hotspur thanks to Raul Jimenez’s winner, after Matt Doherty and Diogo Jota had replied to Spurs efforts. And it’s that never say die attitude which their Mexican striker believes Wolves are built on.

On a stunning win

“It’s an amazing feeling that we came here, to a very difficult pitch, and took the three points. I’m proud of all my teammates and all the team, that we did what we needed to win this game.

“We know we are a good team that can do this kind of thing, coming from behind in the score, we did it many times this season, so this is our spirit, this is what we want.”

On coming from behind

“That characterizes us. Every game that we play, we fight until the end, until the last minute. Keep winning, keep going up the table, and keep going.

“We did it before, some matches we came back in the score, we did it today twice and I think it’s very important for us. Keep competing, keep doing the same.

“We never quit. I think that we never give up, we go until the end. Every little effort of everyone makes the difference and we go all to the same side. We’re making, all of us, this big effort to achieve this win today and the season that we are having.”

On building the club

“I think we deserved this. We are working for this, we are making things different to make this club big, to put this club be where it has to be.

“We have a lot of difficult matches ahead, but I think we can manage them, and we can win them.

“We are very proud of ourselves, of the team and we want to keep doing the same.”

On his relationship with Jota

“Since last season I think we’ve had a good relationship. Even with Adama or anyone who plays there, we are proud of this game today and we have to keep going to achieve more goals.”
