“We’ve had a lot of games against Manchester United, last season as well, we played against them in the FA Cup, so there’s a lot of games against United, and it’s always a good match against a big team that have really good players as well.
“It doesn’t matter the opponent to us, we just try to play the way that will give the best result for us, but they have a great team and they can win a lot of games.
“But it’s another game, and we have learned from the ones before, and we know we have to go in with the same mentality, that is to play, play well, and try to get the win.”
On his wonder goal in the league game at Molineux
“I was not nervous, but we always feel something inside ourselves before the games, that I can’t explain, but it was a big game against Manchester United at Molineux.
“I remember the start of the game really well, we were struggling a little bit, but we managed to calm the game down and we played really well, fortunately, and managed to get the draw.
“We knew Manchester United left some spaces outside the box on set-pieces, so we worked on that during the week and we were able to get the goal.
“My first touch was not that good, I needed to give it another touch, so I had some pressure on me in the moment of the shot, but I just tried to take the ball out from the defenders, but fortunately it was a good goal for me and for the team.
“It felt amazing to score, mainly because I was inside Molineux and the atmosphere there is unbelievable and it’s always a great feeling to score there.”
On assessing his 2019/20 season
“I think I’ve done ok. I’m doing by best to help the team, but I need to just keep on going, keep improving my game to get better and better.
“I’m really happy here and have been settled ever since the first month. I like the calm of the city, so it’s really good for me and my family. My kids like it, my wife likes it, so I’m happy.”
On reuniting with Podence
“I’ve known him for a few years because we played together with the national team, and it helps the team when you know a player, you know how he wants to play, and you know what he can do.
“He’s really fast and can play in two or three positions at the front with a lot of mobility and he’s really good with the ball at his feet.
“He’s a great player and I’m very happy for him to be here with us. I’m sure he’ll help the team a lot because of his characteristics, so it’s really good for us to have him.”
