Jota expected tough Brighton test

Diogo Jota is expecting a tough test against a Brighton & Hove Albion side rejuvenated under Graham Potter.

The Seagulls pushed Liverpool all the way last weekend and won at Arsenal on Thursday night, so will go into Sunday’s game full of confidence. However, Jota, who celebrated his birthday on Wednesday with victory over West Ham United, feels Wolves can now adapt to any situation they face in the Premier League.

On Brighton’s improved season

“They’re completely different. They enjoy a lot more playing with the ball. I saw the final part of Thursday’s game and they weren’t in their goal, they were playing, trying to score the third.

“That was something, they believe, they play good, they want to go front. They are a confident team at the moment, so we know how hard it’s going to be on Sunday.”

On a winning birthday

“It was nice gift. Not perfect, with a goal it would be perfect, with the win. A record for the club – ten games without losing, so everything is going well for us.

“Although we don’t have much time to rest, we keep on going and Sunday we have one more. I had to bring cakes for the lads. My day we spent in the hotel, preparing for the game.”

On Nuno’s system tweaks

“Nuno is always trying to find new solutions when he notices that teams are putting us under pressure.

“Once more, with one change or another, he’s made our team grow again and now we have a lot more solutions, we can put one or another to a specific game to win.”
