Traore, Gibbs-White and Boly injury update

Wolves head of medical Phil Hayward has provided an injury update on Adama Traore, Morgan Gibbs-White and Willy Boly ahead of the November international weekend.

After receiving his first senior Spain call-up, Adama Traore has withdrawn from the squad due to a hamstring issue, while Gibbs-White will remain in Wolverhampton for treatment on a back injury.

Hayward said: “In terms of the players who were meant to be on international duty, the only player who has been pulled out is Adama Traore, who had a problem with his right hamstring during the second-half on Sunday. He is currently having treatment at Compton.

“Morgan Gibbs-White continues to undergo treatment for his lower back complaint and he is making steady progress, although is yet to train with the group.”

Meanwhile, Hayward also provided an update on Boly, who underwent surgery on a fractured left fibula on 30th October.

“Willy Boly is progressing well following his surgery. He is now two weeks post-op and has had the stitches removed.

“He is still non-weight bearing and on crutches but is working hard in the pool and in the gym to maintain his fitness.”
