Wolves discover Europa League opposition

Wolves’ first major European fixture for 39 years will be against either Northern Irish outfit Crusaders or B36 Tórshavn from the Faroe Islands following the draw of the Europa League second qualifying round.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men will play the first leg of their match against the winner of those two sides on Thursday 25th July at Molineux before an away second leg on Thursday 1st August.

Wolves were one of 37 ‘seeded’ teams in Wednesday afternoon’s draw which took place at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

Ahead of the draw, all 74 teams which will take part in the second qualifying round were divided into five groups of ten teams and two groups of 12 teams, with the ‘seeded’ teams to face one of the ‘unseeded’ sides.

Wolves were assigned a place in Group Seven, where they were drawn out to play the winner of the first qualifying round two-legged tie between the Crusaders and B36 Tórshavn.

The first leg of that match is scheduled to take place on Thursday 11th July, followed by the second leg on Thursday 18th July, which is when Wolves will discover which of the two teams they will be facing the following week at Molineux.

Please remember, the dates of the fixtures, as well as possible fixture reversals regarding home and away teams for each leg, are still subject to change.

Any fixture changes will be announced on wolves.co.uk and across the club’s social media channels as soon as they are confirmed. With this in mind, supporters are urged to avoid making any travel or accommodation arrangements until that time.
